Q1 - Who are you
My name is Huw Jones, I live in Hampshire in England. I'm a politics/economics university drop-out currently working as a graphic designer and market research analyst in Winchester. I'm 22 (at the time of writing) and apart from photography I love my girlfriend, Amy, and music (rock, jazz, blues, metal, and other styles), and also play the drums. Q2. What kit do you use? I use a Canon EOS 20D primarily, with a circular polarising filter and a variety of Cokin filters. I also use an Olympus E10 occasionally, and a Fuji FinePix S5600 for out&about photography. Sadly I don't have much in the way of flash kit or lenses (a Canon 22 -
80mm lens does for most things) atthe moment, but am looking to expand. Regading software, Adobe CS2 is now my suite of choice, having switched across from Corel Draw last year.

Q3. Who is that in your banner picture?
That's me! Really. It was taken at a beach in north Wales in 2003, so my hair is a bit shorter, and I'm using a video camera (a Canon XM1 for those who care), but its still me!

Q4. How do you produce your prints? Can I have them framed?
Currently I am unable to offer prints of my photos. Check back in about a month and it should be up and running!

Q5. Who designed your website?
I did!

Q6. When will you add new photos?
I'm an ameteur photographer, and as such I take pictures when I can around my work. I add galleries as and when I take them, so check back soon :-)

Q7. How long have you been into photography? How long have you had this site?
My Dad has been a keen amateur photographer for most of his life, and has worked with many professionals throughout his career. As such I grew up around photography... I remember clearly being in many a photographer's studio back when I was a kid. So my interest in photography has simply grown slowly since my late teens. I guess I took a leap into this field 2 years ago by buying, with my Dad, a Canon 20D camera (upgrading from his Olympus E10 dSLR), and steadily expanding our kit since then.
This website is relatively new - I did keep my photos on my personal website until last year. I changed and designed this website because I want to move into professional photography in the near future and figured it best to get a decent portfolio website.

Q8. How would you classify your photos?
This is an area I know little about. Personally, I'd say the majority of my photographs are landscape shoots. However, I like to experiment a little and convey this often uninnovative medium in ways that appeal to me. For example, this is a landscape photo taken at a beach, but not your usual "landscape vista"
I also love sunsets! And playing with light.

Q9. Do you photoshop your images?
I do try not to photoshop my images, but rather present them 'as-is' as much as I can. Some photos really need it, and with most I have no problem upping the contrast or tone in order to match the photo with what I actually saw, but for the majority I want to rely on using the camera as a tool to caputre what is in front of me as well as I can.
I shoot in RAW for the most part, and adjusting RAW settings after the shoot to get w/b correct, etc, is normal.
